Online Writers’ Accountability and Support Group
(Facilitated by Eliot West and Beth Wright)
What might you do with—and gain from—8 weeks of goal-setting, accountability, learning, exploration, deep reflection, and connection with other writers? This group coaching opportunity is for you if you have a writing project you want to make significant progress on, at any stage of development, in any genre (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, etc.).
Dates: Wednesdays, June 10–July 28, 6:45–8:00 p.m. Central
Cost: $345 (Discounted rate of $325 for returning group participants + Wholehearted Writers Week attendees)
Register by: June 3
Each hour-and-a-quarter-long meeting (hosted on Zoom) includes time for participants to reflect on their writing practice, report on progress, and set goals for the week to come. Brief writing/creativity exercises encourage participants to identify writing strengths and challenges, consider new ideas and approaches, gather thoughts for discussion, and play around in useful ways. Previous discussion topics have included how to create achievable writing goals, perfectionism and the inner critic, the writer's many voices, and inspiration from other writers and artists.
Between sessions, we provide homework in the form of resources to read or view, tips for creating a sustainable writing practice, and ideas to explore, so that we can spend more of our time together in open conversation centering your particular experiences, knowledge, and challenges.
